Joshua was special person at school this week which meant he got to take the ladybug (puppet) and the ladybug backpack home for the week. Ladybug went a few places with us, but Joshua was mostly content to have ladybug stay at home and sleep on his pillow in his room. Yesterday we wrote a story about Joshua's adventures with ladybug and then he colored a picture to go with his story. If I can remember correctly His story went something like this. . .
"Go to the airport with ladybug. Just the airport with ladybug that's all. She sleeped with me and watched me in the night. She sleeped when the sun was out."
Today he got to sit on the donkey while Miss Jessie read his story. He was loving being in the spotlight. We also brought his special treat today - cracker spiders! He helped a bit to make them (okay the first 6 and then we decided he'd rather eat one than help) and was very excited to share them with his friends. It was a fun week and he can't wait to have another turn with ladybug later in the school year.
