Annual Tree Search

Saturday we went on our annual tree search at Lenderink's Tree Farm with Shawn, Erin, Owen and Aiden. Thankfully it wasn't terribly cold or snowy this year which made the tree gathering that much more delightful, especially for the little ones as we tromped around the field! This year we hopped a ride on the wagon to the very back of the farm to search for our perfect tree. The boys liked the ride, but also enjoyed wandering around trying to find just the right tree. Our decision was quickly made this year, while Shawn and Erin did a bit more debating (funny how it's usually the other way around). After the trees were cut and we rode back to the front of the farm on the wagon again and had our trees shaken and wrapped for the ride home. Then it was time for sledding, roasting marshmallows and hot chocolate which we all enjoyed! Just another family tradition we love every year!

Matthew isn't quite sure what we are doing yet.

Happy the search is over; now onto sledding and marshmallows!

Sledding was definitely a highlight for the little boys!
