Payback

I always warned Joshua it was going to happen. . . Matthew would pay him back for all the poking, prodding, pushing, etc. that he endured for the first year and a half of his life being the little brother. Now Matthew can defend himself a bit more, but not in the most appropriate of ways we are finding out. Whenever Joshua tries to stop Matthew from doing he shouldn't be doing and Matthew gets REALLY mad, Matthew bites Joshua. This has happened a total of 4 times in the last 2 months and he actually broke skin through Joshua's shirt the other day. As tempting as it was to tell Joshua "I told you he would get you back someday", I sympathized with Joshua and Matthew went into time out. The little stinker is no dummy and knows exactly why his little behind is sitting on the time out stool - he avoids eye contact with everyone, puts his hands over his eyes, sticks his lower lip out and adds a little bit of a quiver; it's quite humorous really, but the fact that he is biting is far from humorous. Interestingly enough he has only ever bitten Joshua so I have a feeling this really is part of their sibling rivalry or at least I'm praying that is it. Really want to nip this bad habit in the bud!
